Tao floor lamp, designed by Mario Barbaglia and Marco Colombo for Italiana Luce (ex studio PAF), 1980s. This is a 90s version of the same design. A spherical diffuser tops the end of an inclined rod, fixed on the plate-shaped base; visual verticality is re-established by the electric cable running between the diffuser and the base. The halogen lamp can be regulated with a cable dimmer.
